Max Torps's blog
CSM08 - Why vote for Max Torps?
You know. That is a bloody good question.
I could fill a post with pompous, self righteous chest beating but meh, that's not my style.
I think what I'll do is take a look at what other candidates are saying in their blogs and answer the questions they pose from my perspective so you can compare apples with apples.
That's only fair isn't it? read the rest of this post»
Do you ever have one of those moment where you think to yourself, shall I or shan't I? Then just think, F*** it and do it, to hell with the consequences?
I've just had a moment like that and for better or worse I'm applying to be a candidate for the Council of Stellar Management. read the rest of this post»
My last blog here prattled on about leaving eXceed.
And I did. I actually left and felt liberated for about 3 seconds. Then I realised I was in The Scope.
I also realised I had nothing to do. In fact, that's not true. I had plenty to do, I could mission, could rat, could mine, could pirate, could do anything really. read the rest of this post»
I started playing Eve Online in 2006. After roughly a month of playing it got a bit boring not being in a player run corp so I started to look around for a likely corporation to join.
There was a Great War on at the time and the Eve forums were awash with stories about it. It looked exciting but as a new player I realised I couldn't join one of the elite corporations just yet. read the rest of this post»
If you have been watching the 5th Eve Online PVP Alliance Tournament then surely you have an opinion on the commentary, the commentators and so on.
Last night, they asked both on air and via IRC (irc.coldfront.net #evetv) if people could state their opinions so they can decide if some guests come back or not.
So if you have an opinion, please go to: read the rest of this post»
For the last couple of weeks the voting widget that was attached to pretty much all content seems to have been successful and actually worked. Which is always a bonus.
However, it was all a little pointless. Why would you vote on something that only I posted up? And what would happen to the voted articles anyway? read the rest of this post»
Sunday 2nd March 2008. After weeks of preparation and slight disappointment toward Saturdays result, eXceed alliance log onto teamspeak, grab a mojito (or two) and make themselves comfortable.
That evening, eXceed alliance are pinning their hopes on winning. With Admiral Goberius again at the helm and some great set ups at hand, the combatants log in and ready themselves. read the rest of this post»
Who do you think will win?
Vote here!
I've been following the tourney pretty closely as most of you may be as well and have been thoroughly enjoying the coverage provided by EvE TV. read the rest of this post»
As an ongoing project I've been tweaking things behind the scenes and have now introduced a "working" voting widget on the site.
Ok, maybe it doesn't sound really cool but if you think along the lines of Digg then this will allow you to vote certain articles and blogs onto the site front page if they fell off, or vote them off if they are deserving of oblivion.
I've applied this widget to all content types on the site for now to see how it goes. I've also opened this to people who have not registered or logged in to see how that goes as well.
The voting widget works out of game only, the in game browser can't support it.
Other news on the horizon is our shop. We've been playing about with that and will soon be able to sell gaming related goodies.
