PLEASE BE AWARE THIS OFFER HAS NOW BEEN WITHDRAWN DUE TO TECHNICAL ISSUES WITH THE EVE ONLINE STORE

Our friends at EON have a Massive 50% off Blowout Sale to celebrate Thanksgiving & Black Friday - OK I'm late to the party but the offer is still on!

They've cut the price of EVERYTHING!

So you can buy an EON subscription at HALF PRICE, an EVE Survival Pack at HALF PRICE or a full Poster Bundle at HALF PRICE. You can even buy the complete collection of every copy of EON ever produced for HALF PRICE (they were already at half price for the bundle deal, so that makes them all a gargantuan 75% off if you buy the Complete Collection). Yep, that's right - everything from EON is half price. They've never done a deal this good before...

You must apply Coupon Code EONBF50 at checkout to get the discount. Oh, and the deal won't last long apparently, so you'd best be quick if you want to bag a bargain.

The latest edition, number 25, was published October the 7th and with that we received a press release as do many others. Having now read the issue I must say one of the most interesting articles to me was the Massively article by Brendan Drain entitled Shattered Horizons.

I think the most striking thing about this article is that it correctly identifies some mega-alliance leaders behaviour as being the source of the problem, the stock piling of ISK, the tacit approval of botting activities and the greedy plundering of moon goo. There is acknowledgement that mechanics also foster this behaviour.

It then goes on to offer insight into how this can possible be reversed with CCP's new strategy of completely changing how mining will work in 0.0, how industry will work and how PVE will work. All of those activities being distinctly non-PvP. There are certainly interesting times ahead if everything mentioned is delivered. For further info, you'll have to get the magazine.

SHATTERED HORIZONS

Dominion was the last time the foundations of null-sec were reformed and, while intentions were good, two years on things haven't turned out quite as hoped. Now CCP is preparing to set things right again, only this time with long-term vision that could impact not just 0.0 space, but every part of EVE Online. Massively.com Brendan Drain explores the potential for EVE's long-term future and sees reason to be quietly optimistic.
