Say what you think.

Hey there. Max here. Lol, that's rather irritating isn't it? But after reading the forums over at Eve-O pretty much solidly this past week, Cat O'Ninetails' post style tends to imprint on you. Reading from work at break times I hasten to add!

Annoying as it is, alt posting seems to be the norm rather than the exception over at Eve-O. Thread starters seem to always be alts - rarely mains.

As I scrape the OP and the OP's name, this has become more apparent and frankly, a shame.

Eve is built on reputation of the individual and we have in the community a fear of posting with the main. Whether that's rational or not is up for debate but with the threat of wardec, corp action or worse, ridicule, it's stifling that aspect of the communities growth and I suppose CCP's initial vision of a pod pilots reputation being part of the game. Throwaway alts make a mockery of reputation. Hence the stringent CSM application process one assumes.

Also, while lurking around the forums it struck me that this site could do so much more if I applied a little more coding. It's pretty hard to have a community site fit into a niche as many are already covered (I was first!!! lol) but I think I've found it for this site, at least for a while.

Pretty much everything else has been done so I'm looking forward to completing certain phases of this site but I'm also curious about what the future holds with the new COSMOS update which sounds awesome and will hopefully address some reputation issues.

Recently, stats are rising with the new automated direction the commslinks are taking the site in and with the Eve-O forums covered phase two is on the way.

I can't say too much at the minute but I will be making an announcement quite soon.

Meanwhile, I've reopened comments to non-registered folk so they can have their say and also allowed audio and video comments for them too.

I've introduced new headers on the site (got bored of the old ones) and while doing so noticed the very spiffy EON offer so ordered some back issues! Just use the code EONM50 to get 50% off. Many mags still have the freebie that came with it and I'm hoping the map that came with the Mining issue is still available.

While I realise that generally, forum traffic everywhere is down due to keylogger spam and holidays, please try to vote on links here. Votes are welcome on any topic be it negative or positive and if something really gets your goat you can quite literally say so.

Checking out, see you at the announcement.
